ABOUT ONE :

The International Connection to CahnersBoston Worldwide

Is a magazine dedicated to the talented people who worked for Cahners Publishing.

The commitment to excellence that these people gave thoughout the history of the company is beyond the scope of most for over 50 years.

Although some have left us, a lot of us are still here in many different fields.

The "ONE" family we call Cahners is still here even though we are not sitting next to each other.

I hope through "ONE " we can exchange memories through pictures, words and videos.

God Bless all of us.

Muriel Murphy

A Memo from Muriel

Today a man I was priviledged to call friend died tragically. That man was Robin Williams!

I first met him when I worked at The MGM Grand here in Las Vegas. He was very unassuming, very soft spoken and sounded like Mrs. Doubtfire when he called me “Dear.” But he could also be the Robin that we all know at times, like when he visited at night and my co-workers were bored and he proceeded to entertain them.

But most of the time when he was staying at MGM he was the very quiet, unassuming man that I first met.

The tragedy of his death is that nobody bothered to get to know that Robin – if they had he might not be dead.

His talent was beyond campare and he will live on in our lives through his work.

Rest in Peace, my friend!
